The Glorious Church was birthed when the matriarch and patriarch of the ministry, the parents of Prophet Jerome, Pastor Wendy and Pastor Jayalath Fernando opened up their humble home in Mount Lavinia for a small gathering of souls in search of Jesus. Prophet Jerome was a successful businessman and professional athlete before he heeded God's call to enter full-time ministry, which he had to start with a congregation of less than 100 members. With 11 church services being held in 8 different locations and 3 Live online services being broadcasted throughout the week, The Glorious Church has grown into a global ministry with an ever-increasing number of congregants. Along with the expansion of numerous ministries within the branch churches such as The Ministries for Men, Women, Youth and Young Adults. Furthermore, the first-ever international branch church was established in the year of 2022 in the UK.

The home of The Glorious Church, The Miracle Dome was revealed to Prophet Jerome Fernando as an open vision from God. Which revealed the specifics of the land, the structure of the building, the seating accommodation and other intricate features of the building. The Miracle Dome's construction started in 2015, and on The 27th of May 2022, the Miracle Dome was officially opened and dedicated to The Work of God by his excellency H.E. Ambassador, Prophet Uebert Angel & his beloved Wife Prophetess Beverly Angel. Followed by Two Days of Glory, during which the Miracle Dome and Sri Lanka received powerful prophecies and declarations. Additionally, where Prophet Jerome Fernando was presented as the Lion from Asia to the World by his spiritual father, Prophet Uebert Angel. Since then, a total of 14,000+ Newcomers have entered The Glorious Church throughout the year of 2022.
